A Question To Provoke Some Thought

Posted on
I really would like to read your answers on the following question as I think this is a very important thing to ask yourself when searching for purpose and happiness.

If money was no object BUT you had to have some kind of job, what would that job be?

Please leave your answers in the comments section.

Great video for all who answered my question! Let me know what you think.

Hey just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same results.

I would travel and sing in little bars every night. Music is everything.

I’d love to be a doctor and an engineer who teaches french:)
I’ve always wanted to be able to heal people, especially those who have illnesses that are easily treated but don’t have the resources to be treated. I want to be an engineer, I don’t know about what kind I’d like to be but I love physics and this career is also a good way of helping people, whether it be through helping them maximise the use of their resources or to create new sustainable routes for the future. I’d like to teach french because I just love it. I’d love to teach a dying language also to help people see a whole new culture:)

I think my life path would be the same. I am pursuing an advanced degree in bioengineering because bioengineers provide doctors with tools to continue advancing medicine in both the developed and developing world. In this way I can make one large discovery and effectively change a sector of healthcare and in theory improve millions of lives. I just want to help as many people as I can.

It’s my dream to travel the world and do something that can touch people in some positive way. I think meeting new people, places and cultures must be an incredible experience.

It’s my dream to travel the world and make people smile & music / sing.

I’d love to do something art related, though I kinda want to do something also involving music (though music can be considered art).

I would love to be a Photographer, there’s just an excitement I get when it comes to taking photos. I love it!

Anything that has to do with drawing/painting and music combined. So, I guess album cover designer or something like that. Something that could reflect the music i enjoy and what i feel listening to that piece of music at the same time visually. I’m currently studying illustration in college, so i’d like to think i’m on the right track to happiness haha. It’s a great question. I don’t understand why people say “what do you do for a living” when they want to learn how much money you make anyway. Like life is all about money. They say if you do what you love, the worst you’ll ever be is happy. so here you go :)

I would really love to just travel and see the world. Maybe a doctor without borders or some relief program with third world countries. All I know is I just want to see.. Something. I hope it happens one day!

My heart is in the music and the theater. I would love to be on Broadway someday. When you’re performing live, and you have no “take backs,” there’s just something magnificent about it. We should all live for those moments that we can’t put into words.

I’d love to be an outdoor ed teacher.

I’d get to be doing what I love while teaching others about it at the same time.

    That’d be fantastic.

If the money dosen’t count I probably work as an animal keeper

  • Beth: October 26, 2012

Music Supervisor. It’s my dream job and I’m about to graduate with a Music Business and PR degree so even if I won the lottery and would never have to work again or something, I’d still want to do it.

I’ve always wanted to be a veterinarian, and I think that if money wasn’t an object and I had to pick a job, I’d still want to be a vet. It’d be really nice knowing that you’re helping someone by saving the life of an animal that a family loves so much. It’s really hard losing a pet; it’s just like losing a member of your family. It’s especially hard if they’re really sick and you can’t take them to the vet to get them treated because you don’t have enough money to do so. I’d definitely want to be able to help families treat their pets.

Something related to music but “behind the scenes” xD

  • Jane: October 26, 2012

I would like to travel the world. It’s a dream of mine to visit the other 6 continents.

  • Alice: October 26, 2012

I’d open up a huge animal sanctuary and just surround myself with dogs and cats. Hopefully save some lives when the shelters get too crowded.

  • Beth: October 26, 2012

Not even kidding, I would love to be crew for a band or sell merch for them and just travel about with them on tours. That would be amazing.

I would love to me a grief therapist. When my mother died I went to grief therapy and it helped me so much and I became a much better person because of it. I would love to help people to cope with the hardest thing (i believe) you can go through. The people who worked there weren’t paid and they were all so happy, encouraging and caring people.
I would love to work with music too but I’m a really bad singer and I am not good at many instruments (I would love to try drums though)
